Come out this weekend to support the Beacon Orthopaedics team running in the 14th annual Flying Pig Marathon!
Runners will be participating in the full, the half, and the team relay. Even if you spectate only, you’ll have a great time!

For anyone watching who wants to jump right into a half marathon or a full marathon, the thing to do is to start with a plan. Injuries are more likely when there isn’t a road map of benchmarks in place to help runners build up the endurance for a half or full marathon.
Bob Ronkers and Fleet Feet both have great running groups to help guide people to full marathons, or even to ease into a 5K run with no prior experience.
Women and men have very similar biological functions for running. The key is training and preparation. Some nutrition elements are important, but training is crucial.
