About Dr. McCullough
Bryan P. McCullough, D.O., is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery. In his practice, he diagnoses and treats patients and is committed to improving procedures and decreasing post-op complications for them. He treats a wide variety of orthopedic injuries, including total shoulder and knee replacement.
Dr. McCullough graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. While an undergraduate, he played varsity football for four years. After graduation, he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then served an internship and his residency at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.
As further part of his education and preparation, he completed a sports medicine fellowship at Taos Orthopaedic Institute in New Mexico. During his time at the Taos Institute, he worked alongside top-notch surgeons to learn state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment techniques to help get patients back to doing what they love sooner. After his fellowship, he took his orthopedic board exam in which he achieved the highest score in the country.
Many significant improvements to common surgical procedures were initiated by some Taos Institute surgeons. Dr. McCullough is proud that he earned the opportunity to serve alongside – and learn from – the impressive team. Those improved procedures aid in patient recovery and even lead to fewer incidences of post-op complications.
Dr. McCullough and his wife, Tara, also a Miami University alum (who played varsity volleyball), are raising their children and enjoying living and working in the local area of Oxford and Fairfield where he currently practices.
