About Dr. Williford
Dr. Tyler Williford is a fellowship-trained Primary Care Sports Medicine physician specializing in the diagnosis and non-operative treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. He treats patients across a wide range of ages and activity levels, from youth and competitive athletes to weekend warriors and active adults.
Dr. Williford completed his Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship at the University of Kentucky, where he gained extensive experience caring for athletes across multiple sports. He provided coverage for University of Kentucky athletics, including football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, softball, and track and field. He also served as a primary sideline physician for Kentucky State University football and basketball. His experience also includes coverage of Eastern Kentucky University, Georgetown College, and high school athletics.
His clinical interests include acute and chronic sports injuries, concussion management, return-to-play evaluation and musculoskeletal ultrasound. He has extensive training in ultrasound-guided procedures and injections and works closely with patients to develop individualized treatment plans designed to safely restore function and activity.
A Cincinnati-area native and former football and basketball player, Dr. Williford’s interest in sports medicine began early. While attending The Ohio State University, he had the opportunity to shadow Beacon’s Dr. Timothy Kremchek, an experience that helped solidify his decision to pursue a career in sports medicine.
Dr. Williford enjoys developing relationships with patients and helping them navigate the entire recovery process, from initial diagnosis and treatment through rehabilitation and a safe return to the activities they enjoy.
