If you are injured and would like to be seen at another location, please call (513) 354-3700 and we will promptly schedule you at your preferred location. You do not have to be a current patient of Beacon Orthopaedics or have a referral to use the walk-in clinic. Most insurance is accepted.
What is treated at BeaconNOW
New orthopedic injuries: Sprains, strains, fractures (broken bones)
Joint pain: New or sudden pain in your knees, shoulders, elbows, wrists or ankles
Muscle strains: Sudden pain or tightness in your muscles
Sports injuries: From athletic activities or exercising
What is NOT treated at BeaconNOW
Chronic conditions: Long-term pain or injuries you’ve already been seeing a doctor for treatment
Traditional primary clinic concerns: we do not treat illness like colds, flu or infections.
Emergency room conditions: Severe trauma, chest pain and life-threatening conditions should go to the ER.
Who Will Treat Me?
Unlike an emergency room, BeaconNOW is only staffed by fellowship-trained physicians, licensed physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. These specialists have completed years of training centered on a specific category of orthopedics.
How Does the Cost Compare to an Emergency?
BeaconNOW services are billed as a specialty physician practice visit to your insurance carrier and not as an Urgent Care visit; therefore, you will be responsible for your specialty co-pay amount under the terms of your health insurance, not an urgent care co-pay amount. The vast differences in affordability will vary depending on your injury and the diagnosis.
BeaconNOW services are often billed as a specialist co-pay by your insurance providers and not as an Urgent Care co-pay because our physicians are orthopedic specialists.
At Beacon Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, we pride ourselves in providing timely, accessible and expert care. If you or a loved one experience an orthopedic injury, our specialists are ready to provide a diagnosis and treatment plan at our BeaconNOW Clinics. You can avoid the long waits and high costs of an emergency room visit while enjoying the convenience of expedient care by a specialist.
