Monir Tabbosha, M.D., FAANS is a board-certified and spine fellowship-trained neurological surgeon with years of experience across the globe.
In 2000, Dr. Tabbosha earned his MD degree from one of the most prestigious universities in Egypt, Ain Shams University. He completed his neurosurgery residency at the same university and practiced as a neurosurgery and spine specialist in Egypt, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia before moving to the United States.
From 2007 to 2014, he completed a second neurosurgery residency, a spine fellowship, and a neuro-oncology fellowship at the University of Arkansas, Wayne State University, and the University of Virginia.
After training, he worked as an assistant professor at the University of Arkansas before moving to Cincinnati and working at The Christ Hospital. During this time, he served as faculty at the University of Arkansas and the University of Cincinnati, where he worked to train hundreds of neurosurgery residents and spine fellows. He has published multiple theses’, book chapters, and papers in well-respected international journals including: “Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine,” “Spine focus,” and “World Neurosurgery.” He continues to consult on cases across the globe.
Dr. Tabbosha’s special interests include treating patients with complex spine problems and deformities such as scoliosis or kyphosis, degenerative spine disease, spine tumors, spine trauma, spine surgery revisions, and general back and neck pain.
He is happy to begin his journey as a part of the Beacon Orthopedics & Sports Medicine team of physicians.
