Beacon Orthopaedics has resumed full-time hours at our 14 locations: Arrow Springs, Batesville, Beacon East, Beacon West, Cincinnati Sports Club, Dayton (Miamisburg), Fairfield, Lawrenceburg, Liberty (West Chester), Montgomery, Northern Kentucky, South Lebanon, Summit Woods and Wilmington.

Our Summit Woods and Northern Kentucky walk-in Orthopedic Urgent Cares have reopened. Additionally, we are offering same-day appointments. Simply call 513-354-3700 or schedule online. We can usually get you in the same-day or within 48 hours.


03/23/2020 – Update

We have been monitoring the quickly evolving COVID-19 situation and have been implementing new procedures to protect the health and safety of our patients, employees and physicians. Over the last week it has become increasingly clear that patients still need critical orthopaedic services.

Beacon is deemed an essential business based on the Stay at Home Order from the State of Ohio. Therefore, we have developed an enhanced health and safety plan with three guiding principles:

    • First, we must continue to care for the community who are suffering from orthopedic conditions.
    • Second, we must provide care in a socially responsible manner that helps combat the spread of the virus.
    • Third and most important, we must provide a safe environment for all of our patients, physicians and staff.

With all this in mind, the following plan is being implemented, effective Monday, March 23rd:

  • Each location will have an enhanced screening process to enter the building. This screening process is REQUIRED for all employees, physicians and patients to enter our facilities.
    • Each building will have only one entrance available for every person.
  • We have launched telehealth services where clinicians can perform a video visit for routine follow-up care and post-operative care to reduce exposure risks with an in-person visit. You can schedule these by calling our call center at 513-354-3700.


Patient Check-In Process:

  • Patients/Staff will be greeted at each location by signage and a staff member directing them to the screening process.
    • All visitors (except for a needed caregiver for the elderly or minors) are required to wait in their cars until the patient care is completed.
    • All patients will leave their car and go to the screening station at the main entrance of each building.
  • A staff member will ask each person a series of questions and will take each person’s temperature. If they do not pass the screening, they will be asked to reschedule for a later date.
  • If a caregiver does need to enter with a patient, they will be required to pass the screening process as well.


Please be patient with our team members and understand some of these steps may change as we refine this process as needed. Throughout this, Beacon will continue to prioritize the safety of our patients, employees and community and will coordinate with federal and local public health authorities. 03/16/2020 – Update

COVID-19 has had a profound effect on each of our lives.  At Beacon Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, it is our obligation as an integral member of the health care community to proactively lead and support the health and well-being of our employees and patients.

Therefore, we have decided to temporarily close all of our offices from direct patient contact from March 17, 2020, until March 29, 2020. If you are an existing patient with an outstanding medical issue, our doctors and care teams will continue to be available to answer questions and provide treatment as needed. Please do not hesitate to call 513-354-3700 or email for assistance.

Due to extremely high call volumes, if you have to reschedule upcoming appointments during the March 17-March 29 timeframe, please wait for our team to call you. We will spend the next few days calling our patients to coordinate existing patient continuity of care.

We will continue to care for our patients within the local hospital systems and we will be launching telehealth services to support our current and new patient population. Our physicians will continue to be available to answer questions and provide treatment as needed.

03/13/2020 – Update

The health and well-being of our patients and employees are always our priority, and as we navigate the rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation together, we wanted to share with you the extra precautions we’re taking at Beacon to serve you.

Patient Safety:

Any patient who meets any of the criteria below must call (513-354-3700 ) to reschedule their appointment:

  1. Symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, breathing difficulties or flu like symptoms.
  2. If you have traveled outside the United States in the past month
  3. Exposed to someone sick with COVID-19 in the last 21 days.

These same guidelines will apply to family members/caregivers who accompany the patients to their appointments.

Keeping our facilities clean and safe:

We’ve always been proud of the cleanliness and operations of our facilities, and we know that keeping them clean and sanitized is even more important now.

In addition to our daily cleaning efforts, we’re increasing the time spent cleaning and sanitizing our locations, especially in our most frequented areas. We are closely following the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) guidelines and recommendations on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus.

We are also limiting access to our buildings of any staff, patients, or visitors who show undiagnosed signs or symptoms of illness.
