Chick-fil-A Let’s Get Moovin 5K
Beacon is a proud sponsor of the 2nd Annual Chick-fil-A Let’s Get Moovin 5k and “Lap the Lake” Fun Run, hosted by Chick-fil-A Voice of America and Chick-fil-A Deerfield Crossing, will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Voice of America Park in West Chester. The race will benefit Hope House Mission. You can learn more about Hope House at www.hhmission.org.
The event consists of a chip-timed 5k and Kids Dash, “Lap the Lake” 1 mile untimed walk/run, kids activities, and fun for the whole family… all with a purpose of bringing people together to have fun and support the community. Last year the event attracted over 500 participants. We will also have a herd of cows roaming throughout the event to greet and cheer on participants.
-Kids Dash for Children 12 and under is free. Listen for an announcement on Race day for kids to enter this fun event!
The approximate distances will be as follows:
10 yards for 3-5 year old kids
20 yards for 6-8 year old kids
50 yards for 9-12 year old kids
Race Day Schedule:
7:00AM – Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Opens
7:50AM – Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Closes
8:00AM – Warm Up
8:15AM – Welcome
8:30AM – 5KRun/Walk Start
8:40AM – Untimed “Lap the Lake” Fun Run Start
9:30AM – Special Awards Ceremony & Raffle Drawing
Early packet pick-up: Friday August 17th, 2-7pm at Chick-fil-A Voice of America (7733 VOA Park Centre Dr., West Chester, OH 45069). The t-shirt deadline is August 8th. To be guaranteed a T- shirt you must register by Aug 8.
