Physical Therapy Internship

Beacon Orthopedics recognizes the value of education and career exploration. The Physical Therapy Internship provides an opportunity for students who are planning to pursue a career in physical therapy to gain meaningful observation experience over a longer duration than traditional shadowing. Interns will function as rehab technicians in the clinic, helping with cleaning, organizational, and administrative tasks while also being able to observe patient treatment sessions. This opportunity is offered on a rolling basis year-round, however many students choose to complete the internship during a specific semester (Fall vs Spring) or over their Winter or Summer breaks. This position is open to college students or recent graduates. Only individuals 18 years of age and older may participate in the internship.

Things to know:

• This is an unpaid internship
• This experience does not involve hands-on treatment of patients, interns may observe treatment only
• Applicants will need to complete a brief phone interview prior to being accepted to the internship
• Interns will work a regular schedule in 4-5 hours shifts ranging from 5-20 hours per week depending on clinic need and intern availability
