Brian Burger, APRN is a native of Cincinnati and a graduate of Oak Hills High School. He attended the University Cincinnati where he received a BS in Nursing. He was working as a Registered Nurse for 10+ years at the University of Cincinnati in the Emergency Department and Neuroscience ICU along with working here at Beacon as a nurse in the surgery center. He then returned to the University of Cincinnati to obtain his Masters of Science in the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
He is now board certified in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. He is back in school working towards his Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care post masters and then will be certified in Pediatrics as addition to his Adult certification. He is a member of the Ohio Nurses Association, Ohio Association of Advance Practice Nurses, and the American Nurses Association.
He joined the Beacon team full time in September of 2017 as an APRN and has been working closely with Dr. Rolf taking care of athletes and general orthopaedic issues. He sees patients at the Harrison Avenue, Northern KY, Miamisburg, Batesville, and Lawrenceburg locations. He assists Dr. Rolf in surgery at Beacon West surgical center and will soon be joining him at other hospitals. He holds state licenses to practice in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
When he isn’t working, Brian enjoys spending time with his family. He is involved with multiple sporting events and activities with his three children. His wife also works for Beacon at the Beacon West surgical center.
