John E. Bartsch, M.D.

-

I  cannot say enough about the wonderful treatment I received from  Dr. Bartsch.

I had suffered from severe Plantar Fasciitis for many months to the point of dreading taking a step.   I went to a Podiatrist who treated my condition in a very unorthodox manner with continuous injections (8 in 9 weeks specifically) and complete rest (no stretching).  One X-ray and some ultrasounds were performed.  This unusual treatment prevented my Plantar Fasciitis to improve and in fact may have made it worse.  With a once in a lifetime trip to Europe looming and my foot declining I decided to go to Beacon Orthopedics.

This procedure was life changing in such a positive way and Dr. Bartsch couldn’t have been more concerned about my declining condition.   The procedure was so easy on me; no anesthesia – just local, no incision to speak of, very minimal pain and quick recovery.   I am so happy to say it was a complete success and has changed my life in a matter of 5 weeks.   I went from hardly being able to walk thereby changing my whole quality of life, to feeling normal again.  I never thought I could feel good again and thanks to  Dr. Bartsch I can now do all the things I never thought would be possible again.   I would very highly recommend Beacon Orthopedics, Dr. Hamilton and especially Dr. Bartsch and the Tenex procedure for anyone suffering from long time and severe Plantar Fasciitis.

I rarely, if ever, provide feedback on physician care. However, after my recent experiences with Dr. John Bartsch… I feel compelled to write.

I had just returned from a vacation in late 2014 that involved a great deal of walking and climbing and was experiencing a great deal of discomfort in my leg. Within only a few days of my return, the discomfort became nothing less than excruciating. Following a thorough examination, Dr. Bartsch correctly diagnosed the problem and, to my astonishment, was able to completely eliminate my pain without surgery.

Due to my extremely positive experience with Dr. Bartsch, I returned to him again in 2016, suffering with chronic knee pain unrelated to my previous episode which turned out to have actually emanated from a problem in my spine. Once again Dr. Bartsch was able to quickly and accurately diagnose and treat my pain problem.

I am a 65 year old competitive cyclist and, following my treatment, was able to return to the sport I love. I have since qualified for the 2017 National Senior Games in Birmingham, AL by taking gold medals in the Ohio and Kentucky State Games. Before seeing Dr. Bartsch, I was more concerned about walking without pain than bike racing.

In both instances, Dr. Bartsch took the time to explain, in layman’s terms, exactly what was causing my pain and what treatment was needed to insure a full and complete recovery. He patiently answered all my questions to my complete satisfaction.

I would highly recommend Dr. John Bartsch to anyone looking for a compassionate, personable and professional experience providing nothing less than the highest level of care available.

Dr. Bartsch and their wonderful staff made having back surgery a good experience. The pain I had prior to the surgery was debilitating. I walked with a limp, I could not walk long distances and I couldn’t sit at my desk for long periods of time at work. At the young age of 52, my quality of life was horrible. I couldn’t exercise, go out with friends or walk my dogs. I was miserable. The physicians and staff at Beacon were wonderful, knowledgeable and caring. The physicians and staff are extremely qualified. They will go the extra mile in your care. Each person involved with my case made a point to make sure I knew exactly what steps and what to expect with my care. I had heard so many people not associated with Beacon who would say that I would feel worse after surgery. I can honestly say the moment I was awake and in the recovery room at the Beacon Western Campus, I felt so much better. The first step I took was an hour after surgery. I knew I would be sore but the pain I experienced prior to the surgery was gone. I immediately felt better. I did everything his staff told me to do post-operatively. Week by week, I could feel my back and myself becoming stronger. It wasn’t always easy making myself do what was instructed but I knew if I did, I would ultimately get to a point in my recovery where I would feel great. I am getting ready to return to work after 6 weeks. I go to Physical Therapy twice a week but I feel so much better than I did 6 weeks ago. Instead of getting better week by week, I can tell a difference now, I am getting better day by day. I highly recommend Beacon Orthopedics for back surgery. Even though I was afraid, it was the BEST thing I could have done for myself. Thank you so much for giving my life back to me.

After 20 years as a professional cyclist, I faced the most difficult injury of my career. Following a difficult race in Italy, my knee started hurting to the point I couldn’t ride or even walk without pain.  I was diagnosed with IT Band Friction Syndrome and tried every non-invasive therapy I could find. Despite months of treatment, my injury persisted, and I was worried that my career as a professional rider was over. I heard about the Tenex Health TX procedure. Since it is such a safe procedure, my doctor and physical therapist suggested that we try it.  I had the procedure on May 23rd, and it was so quick. I was in and out in less than an hour. My pain was almost gone in two days.  Once I started riding in late June, I could tell that the injury was finally gone!

He is a very good doctor. I highly recommend him. He takes the time to make sure you are getting the help you need. He really cares about his patients and wants them to get better. My wife also went to him and has had a similar experience.

I came to see Dr. Bartsch because of pretty intense pain in left Achilles area.  The Tenex procedure was explained in pretty simple terms by Dr. Bartsch and I was very comfortable with the approach to be taken… The recovery process was just a few weeks, I removed the boot after two weeks… One time and out: the pain was gone!  The folks at Beacon, everyone that I met from the receptionist at the front to the nurses and support staff and the doctors, it was top notch.

I had Tenex done on both of my feet for the treatment of plantar fasciitis. The procedure was a complete success. I have been walking pain free since the procedure.

-Stacy L.

Dr. Bartsch was outstanding. I’ve had this procedure 3 times before. This was by far the most comfortable and least painful of all of them. Dr. Bartsch was very considerate and his bedside manner is second to none.

The most important aspect of any facility is the professionalism of those who provide expert care. Dr. Bartsch is a very caring professional who gives me confidence. All other things being equal, it’s the doctor who causes me to like this facility.
