 Dr. Henry A. Stiene serves as co-medical director and team physician for Xavier University, as well as numerous high schools in the Cincinnati area. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Stiene is a 1986 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1990. He completed a one-year primary care sports medicine fellowship at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Stiene is a member of Beacon Orhopaedics and Sports Medicine and also serves as a musculoskeletal consultant for the TriHealth Occupational Medicine Centers in Cincinnati. Dr. Stiene’s professional interests include providing orthopaedic care to athletes and patients of all ages and backgrounds. This includes injury prevention, pre-participation evaluation, management of acute and chronic illness or injury, and rehabilitation as applied to a broad spectrum of undifferentiated patients. In addition to providing state-of-the-art care to the injured athlete, Dr. Stiene also is involved with many area employers in care management of the injured worker and also serves as a member of the Ohio BWC Panel of Independent Medical Examiners. Dr. Stiene has also taken an active role in teaching primary care sports medicine. He is published in numerous professional journals and has recently been named co-program director for the Sports Medicine Fellowship Program through the TriHealth/Bethesda Family Medicine Residency Program.
