Robert H. Rolf, M.D.

I never wanted surgery, but when I was unable to put pressure on my left leg, I had no choice. My surgery was scheduled quickly and I was in and out of the hospital in a few hours. It has been months since surgery and I have since joined a gym. I was back to work in a few days and have not looked back.

Robert Rolf, MD is a native of Cincinnati and a graduate of La Salle High School. He attended the University of Notre Dame when he received a BS in Chemical Engineering. After working as a Sales Engineer for two years, he returned to Cincinnati to study at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

Dr. Rolf completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. He continued his training as a shoulder and elbow specialist during a fellowship at the Boston Shoulder Institute at Harvard under the guidance of Jon JP Warner, MD; Larry Higgins, MD; and Tom Holovacs, MD.

Throughout his fellowship he received extensive training in advanced arthroscopic techniques of the shoulder, as well as specialized experience in complex shoulder reconstructive procedures including tendon transfers, shoulder replacement and reverse shoulder replacement. He has a strong interest in shoulder and knee injuries as well as fracture management.
